What is kinesiology?

What is kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a totally holistic and non-invasive modality of complementary medicine. It successfully blends the ancient wisdom from traditional medicine with the modern knowledge from western science. This enables the client to achieve full physical, spiritual and emotional health.

Kinesiology uses gentle, manual muscle monitoring to identify stresses held in the body, and their causes. These stresses can be structural, nutritional, emotional, energetic or mental. Kinesiology corrects these imbalances using a variety of techniques, including: acupoints / acupressure, neurolymphatic & neurovascular reflexes, affirmations, exercise, dietry / lifestyle changes & other energetic techniques. Kinesiology allows for positive change to take place.

What does it all mean? Simply put, the kinesiologist can identify the source /
cause of your stress and how best to remove it.

The British Parliament defines it;

“Kinesiology, literally the study of body movement, encompasses
holistic health disciplines which use gentle manual muscle testing to
monitor information about a persons wellbeing. It originated in the
1960′s, combining western techniques, with Eastern Wisdom, to
promote physical, emotional and spiritual health. Kinesiology
identifies factors that block the bodies natural healing process.
These dysfunctions are rectified by attention to reflex and
acupoints, the use of specific body movements and nutritional
support. Kinesiology can relieve pain, stress, muscular and nervous
disorders; detect allergies and nutritional deficiencies, assist with
psychological and learning problems, stimulate energies and
release untapped potential.”

The Victorian Government …

“Kinesiology describes a form of therapy that uses muscle
monitoring (biofeedback) to look at what may be causing
‘imbalances’ in the body… Kinesiologists may treat a range of
disorders, including stress, muscular disorders, nervous disorders,
allergies, nutritional deficiencies, emotional problems and learning
and behavioural difficulties…”

“Kinesiology therapy aims to stimulate the body’s energy so that
untapped potential can be released… The client sees and
experiences first-hand all changes that have been made, especially
when confirmed through the muscle-monitoring process…”
